Rajan Chakravarthy & Associates
Mr. P.T.Govindarajan is the founder and Senior Partner of the firm. He has been in continuous practice since 1976 and has in-depth knowledge & experience on most matters and is up to date on various developments in accounting, law changes and policies.
He pursued his B.Com. and underwent C.A. Articleship at Bangalore. He has his industrial training under M/s. Hindustan Lever Ltd., Bangalore and laterset-up practice as a Chartered Accountant at Bangalore and Chennai, having offices at Chennai and New Delhi, offering taxation, auditing and financial services of a high quality to a variety of clients.
His fund of knowledge of company law, taxation, accounting standards and other such professional domains in general and the current international politico-economic and business scenario and his analytical mind in particular makes him a popular retainer – consultant of all his clients and acquaintances who pose problems and get immediate but practical solutions from him.
He has participated in many seminars and conferences of professional interest.
He is keenly interested in social services and has served as a Rotarian. He is a past president of a Rotary Club and is a trustee of some charitable trusts.
He has travelled extensively in India and abroad, having visited Europe, the U.K., the U.S.A., Canada, China, Japan, Hong Kong and the far eastern countries including Australia. He is a keen sportsman and reader.
Mr Hemachandran Seshadri holds the Gold Medalist from ICAI and CIA from the USA.
- He started his career as a Management Trainee with Hindustan Unilever In India and has held several senior positions with various Indian corporates (for 20years) like Tata (Chief Internal Auditor), Reliance (Vice President), DCM and Chemplast (as Head of Accounts).
He last held the position of CFO (Latin America) with TCS based out of Chile.He has held senior positions with an International NGO (14 years) working across Asia, Africa and Latin America working with the under privileged, supporting them to lead a better life.
He is fluent in Spanish, and has working knowledge of Bahasa Indonesian and Portuguese.
Between 2010 and 2017 he has worked with JGI ventures, Bangalore as its Chief Mentor supporting the growth of 25 to 30 start-ups as part of Incubation Services.
His specialties include providing consultancy on strategic growth planning, monitoring and optimizing operational parameters of organizations, with an emphasis on enhancing the bottom-line.
Currently he is active as a partner of Rajan, Chakravarthy & Associates, strengthening the firm’s consultancy and Advisory services. In addition to the above he is involved in fund raising activities as a trustee of a NGO involved in cancer prevention and treatment.
PTR is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Partner of M/s. Rajan Chakravarthy & Associates (RCA), Chennai. He ventured into professional practice after successful employment stints with KPMG, India. He is specialized in and is now exclusively practicing in Indian Goods and Service Tax Law.
He is qualified both as a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary and also completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with 1st Rank from the University of Calicut.
He also secured scholarship from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) throughout his Chartered Accountancy course for his merit in academics.
He is a faculty for IDTC (Faculty for the ‘Certification Course on GST’ (A post qualification course for qualified Indian Chartered Accountants) organized by the Indirect Tax Committee of ICAI, New Delhi.)
Handled training sessions for the GST Government department officials on various topics on GST.
Regular speaker in the Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI) on Indian GST Law.
A well-known speaker in various Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises associations in India on Indian GST Law.
Invited by some of the leading commerce and management institutes in India for GST seminars. Handled various customized corporate trainings on Indian GST Law
Advisory & Consulting Services
He is currently advising some of the big multinational conglomerates in India having annual turnover of more than INR 50,000 Crores.
He is advising economic wings of some of the top Central Government bodies on the GST related matters for the benefit of the public at large.
He has appeared in some of the national English news channels (for both live & recorded discussions) & regional channels for discussions on GST related news.
